Finally find peace

She cut through her skin
Straight to the bone
No one was there
No one was home

It always seemed
The girl was alone
All by herself
You could tell in her tone

She was always crying
Because no one cared
Her life seemed empty
Her secrets bared

She didn’t have friends
She didn't have hope
No one to talk to
No way to cope

So that’s when she decided
That she would bring her death
As soon as the front door closed
She knew her parents had left

She wrote them a quick message
That said she would be fine
Her life was nothing special
Nothing very divine

Then she swallowed many pills
Some she could not recognize
But what did any of that matter
The pill bottles just lie

She held onto one more moment
To say that she was glad
She hoped that her parents
Wouldn’t be too sad

She knew that they cared
But she’d finally find peace
In heaven amongst the angels
Where it would all be released
