Proof

by Mild insomnia   Mar 1, 2005

Like an echo far away,
I hear your dying faith,
Stand up straight,
Don’t throw away…
The life you have.

It resounds time after time,
A louder voice you need to find,
Speak your mind,
And let me, mine…
And learn to laugh.

I’m tired of picking you up when you fall,
Next time, I might not hear your weakened calls.

Let me know,
You’ll make it through,
On your own,
Give me some proof.

I kneed to see you smile again,
Walk through the freezing rain,
Don’t complain,
Don’t walk away…
Just pick up your feet.

Take a hit and get back up,
Show ‘em you don’t give a fk,
Take a look,
At what you love…
Is it easy to leave?

I’m weak with holding your hand every step,
I won’t live forever, how you gonna be when I’ve left?

Let me know,
You’ll make it through,
On your own,
Give me some proof.
