Loves insanity

by ~*^*~ longing to belong ~*^*~   Mar 2, 2005

All around there is darkness,
Deeper than the night,
Heavier than concrete,
Shrouded by fright,
Fingers scraping,
Seeking a gap in relentless pain,
Desperately searching,
Voices inside screaming “insane!”
Shoulders stooping,
From the weight above,
Slowly sinking,
Into the depths of love,
Facing the memories,
Swimming around,
Watching insanity,
On deaths door, pound,
Hidden happiness,
Draining away,
As devils of sadness,
Consume their prey,
All that’s left,
Is a skeletal figure,
Weak from the theft,
Of life’s former vigour,
Draped across the breast,
Of true loves first vow,
No beating heart chest,
Here comes death now.
