Memories

It touches you in places,
you can't see
It fills parts of you,
that have always been empty.
It gives you hope,
of things being different;better.
It shows you light,
in all those dark places.
It helps you to grow,
become older, wiser in experience.
Then it's gone
The emptiness returns
You settle into your old ways.
You live for the dark,
the light hurts too much.
Yet, you are still older, wiser.
Maybe you need it to live,
maybe not.
But you can't regret it.
The memories will last forever.

    I liked it. I don't know if you were trying to but you got in a couple of odd rhymes. like
    in all those dark places.
    It helps you to grow,
    become older, wiser in experience.

    Places and experience. I think it made your poem better. If you ment to than good job. love the poem.
