Soul's Window

by BreatheNoMore   Mar 3, 2005

A great writer once said that
A person's eyes are the window to their soul
Then why when I gaze deep in my eyes
I never see my being as a whole

Is this the way they associate me
An introverted midway being
With no mercy or commends
Or is it unambiguously nothing that they're seeing

Am I so enigmatic that no one bothers with inquisitions?
I have consistently been misinterpreted
From the looks of your inconversant response
It appears you didn't listen to a word I said

You give me regurgitated answers
Thinking upon only what you've grown to know
For once just please listen with your heart
And tell me what you see through my soul's window

A very thought provoking piece. One of my fave quotes is "eyes are the window to the soul." Your message comes across loud and clear in this. Beautiful!
