The truth

by Broken Angel   Mar 3, 2005

A darkened room
A sharpened knife
mixed thoughts racing
Wondering about the future life

You cannot see
The hurt beyond my eyes
You cannot tell
When I'm telling those lies

What you do see
Those slashes of dried blood
Those marks that cover my wrist
the thing that drips into a flood

And what you do see
You push far into the dark
You ignore it completely
You ignore the bloody mark

You cannot escape the truth
It haunts you in your pleasant dreams
It finds you in the darkest corner
It feeds off your unveiling screams
