I Thought You Loved Me

I thought you loved me
I thought you really cared
I loved you so much
And those feelings I thought we shared

You made me happier
Then I had been in a long time
And all I did was try to make you happy
Is that such a crime?

I thought we were perfect
Everything felt so right
We never argued and not once
Did we have a fight

I always made you laugh
You loved to make me smile
It was great while it lasted
Though it only lasted a little while

I really did care for you
And I so much let that show
You told me you were so happy
So why did you let me go ?

I still care for you
And miss you with all my heart
And though we aren't’t together
I’ll love you while we’re apart

    WOW Maybeth that was awsome!! That last stanza was a wonderful way to end the poem! I'm in shock! Definatley one of your best....I'm sure relationships are very painful and very hard to get over but matbeth you are an amzain girl, a wonderful poet, and very strong! Keep your head up and hopefully things will turn out alright!
