Shapes, figures->swimming
Focus, unfocus.
Wavering, as if underwater,
Then suddenly clear, bright, profound.
It is in this moment that you discover life.

Lights->so different from closeness.
Brighten, darken.
Faces looming above.
Intimidating, but comforting.
It is then that you first experience sight.

Noise, yet music soft and clear.
Louden, lighten.
Now booming, then hushed with care.
All around, yet concentrated and unclear.
It is then that you first hear.

A connecting cord is cut, a tinge of hurt.
Sharpen, dull.
Searing like fire, pulsating,
But falling, short lived.
It is then that you first experience pain.

Arms carefully enclose, lifting gently.
Contracting, relaxing
Pulled close to who was so close before.
Security, warmth, comfort.
It is then that you first experience love.
