My Vow

by tabby   Mar 8, 2005

I don’t understand how you make me cry.
I don’t understand how you make wish I would just die.
Why am I not good enough for you, I know my life isn’t perfect.
Why am I not good enough for you, you make me feel like it’s not worth it.
You say you cause me no stress, and that you make me shed no tears.
You say I give you nothing but head aches, and never listen to your fears.
I wish I could say I’m done, that you can hurt me no more.
I wish that was true, but your still in my inner core.
Every time I think about you, it makes me want to weep.
Every time my heart feels true, I see that you are just a creep.
Why do you keep saying, such hurtful things.
Why do keep telling me you love me, when you know what it will bring.
When you tell me you love me, it makes me want to cry.
When you tell me you love me, I know it is just a lie.
You say that I need to change for you to be accepting.
Why don’t you look in the mirror and see what is reflecting.

For once it is time to tell you what I think.
For once it is time to say the things that pushed me to the brink.
You are not good enough for me, and I need you to know this.
You are not good enough for me, and no you cant have a kiss.
I remember the nights you told me, all those hurtful things.
I remember the nights you deceived me, I bet you felt like a king.
It took me awhile, to come up with this vow.
It took me awhile, but I’m here to say this now.

I am done with you for good, no more going back.
I am done with you forever, and that is a fact.
Nobody thinks I can do it, but oh, how they are wrong.
Nobody understands me, or thinks that I am strong.
It is time to prove them wrong, for I am done with going back.
We are no longer playing that old record, for this is no longer a broken track.
