It's a mystery

by Shædow Poet   Mar 10, 2005

It’s a mystery
Why a teardrop spills salty relief
For a bittered young teenager
And their uncouth tainted belief.

Documented love
Mediated hopes for a thriving life
Lust for false marital imagery
Quoth “forever alive as husband and wife.”

Paint a picture
Of perfection at it’s dazzling peak
A façade moulded onto ill fates
The truth- life is a colour dull and bleak.

It’s a mystery
Why a teenage cries to have all perfect
When this life exists in none but dreams
Save a shattered life- live and not expect.

    I LOVE this.
first of all I saw alot of myself in it, and wanted to let you know you did a fantastic job of creating an understanding to the reader.
Also, your text choice was flawless and powerfully used. The thoughts you have crossed then interpredted into this piece were intensified by this vocabulary that extends symbols and creates impact upon the reader.
I truly admired your symbols and how you worded them to create a display of poetic skill and thought. I especially admired the lines,
    "It’s a mystery
Why a teenage cries to have all perfect
When this life exists in none but dreams
Save a shattered life- live and not expect."
    Wonderful job, beautiful
