Face Kept in Shadows

Your face covered to me
In the shadows you keep
Then there was air
The shadows left to weep

Your words written to me
Gave hope to my life
The day you found me
Saved me from the knife

Yet where have you gone?
The shadows miss you feircely
As do the tears that fall
Leak from my eyes so gently

Where have your words gone
That brought me light from dark?
Where have your lessons drifted
Bringing back my reddened mark?

Your face covered to me
In the shadows you kept
So i could never see
How much you secretly wept
