Untitled

by FailureToSmile   Mar 14, 2005

This morning the sun rose above the trees and the moist leaves glistened like jewels. I sat near the window where I could see the black sky slowly turn grey, growing brighter and brighter until the whole area was ablazed. Warm emotions became bitter with the thought of you. Something had shifted within me, my certainty belief of never loving another soul. Each day that certainty seemed to cut deeper in me. But your eyes were like blue oceans, pouring out love and compassion. How could I forget? But then I remembered, "nothing gold can stay."
