Emotional Downer

by Ð맆îñ¥   Mar 17, 2005

Moving screen shots just flicker before my eyes
Once sweet scenes but them now I despise
It’s a shame, I’m a disappointment
Stood aside, the fly in the ointment

All you can offer someone like me is pity
No one can ever love me in this city
They all know my game in which I’m being hung
They think only lies escape from my tongue

Will anyone look past the gate?
See past the lies, the sadness and hate
No love will you ever see or encounter
For me it is an emotional downer

I suppose each time I’m hurt I get stronger
But each time to heal it gets longer
Will no one stand out, hold a hand, not mislead
Aid me in my quest, together we’ll succeed

**Not a clue where to put it**

Wow!!! Excellent write girl, as I read it
I got this vision of homeless people and
all the help they need. This line is way good,
“Stood aside, the fly in the ointment” great
line. Also in the 2nd stanza line two,
“No on can ever love me in this city”
    >>>>^
is “one” the word may have left “e” out.
Wonderful read with smooth flow and
    Great content. Write On!!!
