Resemblance

by Thomas Key   Mar 17, 2005

There's a tree
on a hill
that resembles me
with only time to kill

grey clouds above
faded grass
without the love
nowhere in the mass

standing tall
against the wind
and through it all
only stretches and bends

leaves have fallen
onto the dirt
no crawling
no more hurt

as the tree stays
standing straight up
it will not stray
unless its cut

cool wind
quite sounds
thats all then
but not even a cringe

for the tree
on the hill
me.
