Field Of Roses

by Rona   Mar 19, 2005

In a field of roses
I lay my head down thinking about the mid-summer's day
How beautiful the sun shines across the clear skies
I just wish it could stay

But the roses have wilted
The skies have turned gray
Snow starts to fall slowly
Oh please, please don't go away

I cried myself to sleep
Wishing things would go back the way they were
Hoping everything would be all right
But things weren't getting any better

I bleed with the scars you've left me
Tainted with the promises you've made
My soul is burning in the light
As my pain slowly burns, I start to fade

In a field of roses
Where I once laid
The roses, sunshines and promises
All seemed to have fade

That was good, the flow was a little off in places, but the words and emotion made up for that.
