Hours of Darkness

by Ð맆îñ¥   Mar 24, 2005

I’m sprinting, my legs are left behind
Not quick enough, more speed
The nights almost there, just out of reach
“Two more minutes, one more, one” I plead
But the night captures the light in its claws
Its tyres sound of worse to come
Silent cries and motionless leaps
I'm struck by the wind, left totally dumb
It kicks me forwards, can no longer stop
Laughter erupts as lightning strikes
I’m trying to escape my fears
But I’m straggled on the front of one of Hell’s bikes
The wind is whipping me but darkness is hiding me
No one sees my tears
I’m left all alone in this gloom
Forced to the floor with invisible spears
