Seems like yesterday

by Amba   Mar 25, 2005

It just seems like yesterday, we were laughing at the park
and it just seems like yesterday, you told me frightening tales in the dark . . .
. . . but its not just yesterday, it was seven years ago
that god took my sister, her fortune was for told

You were beautiful and talented, i really looked up to you
Even though i don't remember you as well as i should, my love for you will always be
true
The last time i saw you alive, you were packing up all your things
My step ‘witch’ mum told me to go inside, while she broke my sisters wings

When i saw you laying still, so lifeless, not moving, dead . .
I wanted to wake up, and for this to all be in my head
For i have already lost my Mama and another would be devastating
I just sat there, watching, hopeing wishing and waiting
that you would just sit up and wipe the streams of tears from daddys eyes
and i thought thats what i sore, but my mind was playing lies

You are really gone, and i have only finally come to the conclusion
i will soon enough be with you and see no more illusions

You died of heart Failure at New Brighton beach
Where you ashes are now departed from us, we sprinkled some each
Forever i will love you big sister, i know your always here, you know how i can tell?
The smell of roses which i smelt on you in your coffin enters my room, F**k i miss you Mel

to my big sister Melanie . . . i hate mi step mum
