Life’s Refugees

by Lost Girl   Mar 30, 2005

We packed our bags
Never took a second glance
Free on the road
It was our last chance

Whilst skies were dark
We stepped out the door
Took the opportunity
To so much more

At midnight hour we sat
Alone on the night bus
Surrounded by faces
Yet none looked at us

Afraid of the darkness
Which once was release
All our chances of survival
Have begun to decrease

Prisoners to freedom
The people no one sees
We are so lonely
We are life’s refugees
