My grandfather

As I look at that picture,
Yes, you know the one,
I was a baby sitting on your lap
A smile on my face
Then I look into your eyes
So full of happiness and joy.

I remember all the times we shared
You were always there,
We had so much fun,
But then you got sick.
The doctors tried, they really did,
But you were already gone.

Every time I see that picture of you and me
It just brings back so many memories.
I just wanted to let you know,
All off the memories will stay in my heart,
I will never loose t hem.
I will remember, always.
