Demon's light

by Rose   Mar 31, 2005

Close my eyes with steady hands,
while my soul's windswept in timely sands.
Smile to me, my demon light, and to your lullaby take flight.
Riddles pave this journey, fair,
your lyric holds the answer's lair.
You clutch my spirit, cold and strong,
hypnotic, seems your jester's song.
Shower my heart with sandman's dust,
in this false sleep you sang your trust.
Lead me past the light's betrayal,
cast your spell on my soul so frail.
Absorbing your wisdom that at my heart lashes,
demon light fades as I fall to ashes...
