Living A Lie

Is moving on still justified?
Or classified as using?
Using someone to take the next step,
Over someone you’re already losing.

In the hope that maybe soon,
Perhaps this someone new,
Can take away the pain of others,
If I make them feel it’s true.

Am I betraying myself by being here?
Is this all a living lie?
Can I really throw this heart away,
With a new kiss to defy?

I need somebody in my life,
And surely that’s not wrong.
But perhaps I’m only using you,
To help me get along.
