Attention stealer

Drew it away from you
Stole your lime light
But this attention
Gives me no delight

Now I see I am hurting you
All I wanted was to care
I forgot about the others
Pretended they weren’t there

This guilty pleasure
Whilst people know
But still your scars
You refuse to show

I just have to tell you
That no one will pass you by
They see your fresh cuts
Tears for you they cry

Don’t say that you
No longer matter to us
As you are someone
We all love and trust

I’m sorry that you feel
Much worse than before
We all care about you
Hate to see your heart so sore

I wish I could avoid
This unwanted attention
When you are the one
Who deserves the mention

I never wanted it to go
The way it did
Am I an attention stealer
Or just a stupid kid?

    Very good poem, your feelings were well expressed, I can understand some of it aswell *sigh* sad aswell though :( I'm sure you're not an attention stealer, or a stupid kid for that matter, I liked this one, keep it up xxx
