Regret

by Gemmie Lou   Apr 8, 2005

Aching hearts hurt worse then any other pain.
Bleeding hearts hurt worse of all.
This time it hurts more then the past times.
The man I love from afar has given up on me and gone on to the next best thing.
Fate, I have never believed in it, perhaps this is what this is, fate working over time.
I'm more likely to think of it as pure irony at my misfortune.
I found the love of my life only for him to turn away when it could finally be.
Irony… I hate this word.
Regret is something I live with every day of my life.
I now add one more regret to my list of many.
