Time Apart

by noworries2   Apr 11, 2005

Friends for a year.
What a great year, too!
Then I got mad at you,
But you were mad, too!

We haven’t really solved
Any of our problems.
We just pushed them aside,
And hoped they’d go away.
But things don’t work that way.

It is costing us now.
We aren’t at all close.
Our friendship is now toast!
We barely talk about serious things.
I guess this is what distrust brings.

When I think about all of this,
My mood begins to slump.
Though, I know you I will miss,
This is the best before I get
Too down in the dumps.

I’m sorry I don’t want to hurt you.
This is all I can think of to do.
Maybe this time apart will
Help us to see:
All the mistakes both of us make.
What to say/What to do when our
Tempers we lose.
How to make everything better.
And to see if this friendship is worth saving.

I know you are probably mad at me.
But this is the way it has to be.
I just want you to know,
I still love you just so.

i mean this "friendship" or whatever ya call it. I mean get a clue, and get over it. Leave them alone, let them life their own life. Get one of your own!
