The happy facade

by rachel   Apr 11, 2005

Steel blade,
Glimmering beneath the happy facade,
Grazes my arm,
One scar in many of self harm,
Smile throughout the day,
Never being me for fear of what they'll say,
Blood forms and begins to flow,
My racing mind begins to slow.
And as the crimson tide trickles steadily,
and finally my mind becomes free.
