Nothing more than faces

by Elynnka   Apr 13, 2005

My bleeding face,
When the tears erase
The shadows and disgrace,
Is forced to peel
When the thoughts reveal
The wounds so deep...they never heal...

Faces...faces...nothing more than faces...

Wearing a disguise
Of your filthy lies,
Your face that I despise
Buried deep in pain
For everything’s in vain
And the scars remain...

Faces...faces...nothing more than faces...

These faces here,
Covered up in fear,
They won’t disappear
So by us they stand
Having fate in their hand
Wondering in a foreign land...

Faces...faces...nothing more than faces...

Every day you see
Another face of me
Something I will never be.
What i try to find
Is buried in my mind
All my thoughts are left behind...

Faces...faces...nothing more than faces...

Everybody wants to hide
The face that lies inside,
Everybody once has tried
Their face to throw away
Every single day,
But it’s here to stay...

Faces...faces...nothing more than faces...

**this poem is not that good, i know, sorry**

WOW... I loved it. I believe this is a brilliant poem. And clever very clever. It is true you know everyone hides behind many faces. They hide behind a fake smile when they are really sad. And some do the opposite. I loved it because it speaks truthfully. All of poems are just for fun...only one really means something to me. Any way I just wanted you to know that I LOVED this poem.
