My solemn oath

My solemn oath, my knife
by this is give my word
a pomise made by this blade
my savior and my lord

the room is dark, i'm alone
and then i reach for it
i hold it high, then bring it down
and make the first red slit

the blood pours out of me
as i slash my thigh
"This is my solemn oath!" i say
"by this i will not cry!"

the night drags on slowly
a terrible stormy dream
i slide the blade across my wrist
"by this i will not scream!"

i make my solemn oath
by my blood, my knife
a final slash across my wrist
"by this i take my life"
