Sailing By

by JJ   Apr 20, 2005

The smell of the sea filling the air
The wind swaying through my hair

Sound of the waves ringing in my ears
Rain dropping on the sea like tears

Waves pushing me far away
Uncertain of what trouble awaits

Angry waves thrusting at my boat
The rain getting me all soaked

Hoping and praying for my safety
I reached a deserted island safely

I stayed for a long day
Watching the animals play

I finished my daily ration
and headed back to my nation

Clouds sailing by above my head
Listening to the birds as I read

Sailing by interesting places
Happy to see the friendly faces

Finally I reached home
Just another day alone

*This was the first poem I wrote and the only one that actually rhymes in some way. I know it needs some work but tell me what you think*
