Learn To Soar

by Pianist   Apr 20, 2005

Learn to spread your wings and fly,
or cascade to the ground,
But do not soar up so, too high.

On your craft you must rely.
When paradise is found.
Learn to spread your wings and fly.

Gaze about and wonder why.
To the sky, you're not confound.
But do not soar up so, too high.

Search beyond the wheat and rye.
Hunt the blissfulness abound.
Learn to spread your wings and fly.

Tempt the sun in gold supply.
Dare the moon to stay it's round.
But do not soar up so, too high.

Guide those that have flown awry.
Seek the soft melodic sound.
Learn to spread your wings and fly,
but do not soar up so, too high.

Good poem and interesting idea, but it is a bit too repetitive. I figure that's sort of what you're going for, but maybe it's too much. You start branching off to broaden the idea, then suddenly--NOPE, we're back to where we were. Still good though 5/5
