Thanks For Nothing

by Debra   Apr 22, 2005

I lay there bleeding
On the ground
All alone
With no one around

I am slowly dying
I'm growing pale
I have no more strength
I'm weak and frail

You walk in
And see me there
But in your expression
It's like you don't care

I reach for your help
Because without it I won't survive
But you remain where you are
You don't try to keep me alive

You see the confusion
On my face
I need your help
Or at least an embrace

But you just stand there
Watching me bleed
Acting like you don't notice
Not giving me what I need

This continues on
Until I finally go
And you still don't cry
Even so

And all I can remember
Is that you didn't even try
So thanks for nothing
Thanks for watching me die
