Eyelashes heavy with uncontrolled tears blinked away
A pain, a constriction grabs the heart without warning
Such a silly matter shouldn't feel this way
Should it?
Selfishness may be the reason
Or it could be justified
Either way
It stings all the same
In comparison it is nothing
Worse pain has been felt
Worse hardships endured
But it remains true
Even the little things hurt
