Forgetting

Memories rush by,
Bringing tears to my eyes.
I want to forget what happened,
But it seems that I can't.

Everytime I seem to forget,
The memories come back,
Haunting me,
Never leaving me alone.

Something unables me
To push it out of my head.
Something unables me
To forget it ever happened.

It's been years,
Yet the memories stay.
Hoping that some day,
They will finally fade away...

    wonderful poem...i can relate to this and can honestly say memories will never fade no matter how painful, joyful, or embarrassing....they are eteched and scarred.
