He's just like me (Revised)

by Michael Mantione   Apr 23, 2005

I have hidden this deep inside
In people I could never confide
The way they hurt me
Why couldn't you just see
You couldn't see past their lies
You never heard me cries
My pleas landed on def ears
I shed these unyielding tears
All I have is the pain
The misery I could never contain
I have found another who would help me
He is everything I could never be
Why can't you see him he's right here
He's in perfect view crystal clear
But he is the darkness
He is nothing but reckless
everyone he could take
Its my world he would shake
He would help like you never did
He would help even though I'm just a kid
He hated what i hated he wants what I want
Children that would always tease and taunt
Now me they would never haunt
Because its now to late
For he has sealed their fate
Open your eyes why cant you see
That he is me...

Well crimson poet, I found this poem to be, as it was categorized, dark. As such I have no choice but to commend you on your acheviement. However, I would like to give you one small suggestion: The hatred and sadness rut is deeply effecting on people, yet it cannot grow. I used to be a "self-mutilator"/ depressed child. But I could only think of so many ways to say "I am in pain". I think you have the potential to be great, as soon as you make that message that moves them. Good work overall, 4.
