Anger

by iwanttobalone   Apr 23, 2005

I run to my room
anger burning in me
eyes- like cold blue ice
my whole body in flames
my strength twofold

i stalk into my room
slam the door shut
collapse on my bed
stand! the voice beckons
i go to my desk
where the relief is
WAS
my blades are gone.
they took them
anger that had slightly died
recourses through my veins
i open the door of her room
i trip over the bed, the books
everything. but i don\'t feel it
i see it. the box. i open it
grab the knife- i hear
i roll up my pants leg
yes- not my wrist-
they know
the burn... the burn
of the knife\'s lethal dance
the blood pours out
my anger along with it
two more slashes, not as deep
they don\'t bleed, but it hurts
but it hurts enough to feel good
my anger ceases
i go back to my room,
my abyss of dark
i am breathless but relaxed
i look at my leg, scars everywhere
i sigh a sigh of understanding
the cycle has started again.
