Journey

by daydreamer   Apr 24, 2005

She's a vision a true sight to see
Even in her final days she possessed such beauty

Holding her hand, wishing her sweet dreams
Her time is up, this moment is bittersweet

Eye's shut tight, she's fading fast
One shallow breathe it's her last

Succumbing to cancer, the battles done
But here is where her true journey has begun

She went to meet her maker, it was her time to go
Why she left us so soon we may never know

I tried to stay strong, she made this request
Not looking back, it was for the best

She stands tall now, beyond Heavens gates
Looking down at us and smiling, taking her place

In Heaven she feels no pain
In our hearts is where her true spirit remains
