School

by Lost Girl   Apr 26, 2005

Torn up sheets of paper, questions and answers
Once so simple, but now bring me to bitter tears
How cans something, so meaningless, so easy
Bring me down after all these years?

School has become a torture for my restless mind
Searching so hard for the answers that don’t exist
Teachers tell me off, what was the answer?
Look back and see all the things that I missed

Drifting away from the class room reality
To a place where I am all alone, safe and secure
Lessons fly by, knowledge so hard to grasp
Can’t hold onto what I have, but need to learn more

Give me a moment, but still I let it pass by
Revise, or just learn more, all this I cannot take
Sit through school as the clock ticks by
Living a life, at school nothing’s real, I am so fake
