Autumn Falls

by Amy   Apr 27, 2005

Morning brings the pale blue sky
With it the fresh morning dew
Glistening on rose petals
As the sky unravels its light
Autumn winds rustle
The leaves crinkle & fold
Falling from grace
To the crisp grass below
Children run and jump
Youthful laughter
Like melody so sweet
Whispers though the breeze
Clouds take on shapes
As below them lie
Daydreaming lovers
Imaginations running wild
The sun begins to set
The golden sky must now rest
The wind breathes a sigh
Colors so vibrant sprinkled
In the soft autumn sky
As the sun disappears behind
The final white cloud
One last autumn leaf
Falls silently to the ground.
