Razor blade cliffs

by Lost Girl   Apr 27, 2005

Stand upon the mirror edge, upon the razor blade cliff
Look down upon the world, the crashing waves below
So high above all that you know, so high past it all
Yet now you are so free, never again to stoop that low

Higher than the birds, upon your cliff so high and safe
Crimson waves await you, trimmed with white lace
They lie in wait, one more moment until you slip and fall
As the gold sun sinks deep into the very depths of this place

Anticipating your fall, your final release from this world
Circling vultures, above your head are there just for you
See the image of yourself, so perfect in the dying scarlet sky
And look deep into the murky waters, into the sea so blue

Hold onto this perfect picture, artist’s scene on canvas skies
Keep tight around this scene, perfect moment, final dream
In this second, upon the razor blade cliffs I find myself
And in this second I am pure, from my sins I am clean

*no explanation, i just wrote it without thinking! i apologise i dont actually understand it, oh well*
