What is good-bye?

What is good-bye?
Is it a stare, no words to find to say?
A pleasant hug, a gentle kiss,
Or a back turned away?

You may say that they gave up,
On the life they led
Or maybe silently
Is the best way it is said.

I know the way that I will say it
Is with my head held high.
And with hope, happiness, and sadness,
I will say good-bye.

    Very well said. i didnt feel emotion like in the other poems u write but it was still good. the shotness felt like a represetnation of how long goodbyes should be. good poem. 5/5

    Beautiful. short and sweet and to the point. A lot of emotion wrapped up in a few words. This was great. I love the way your going to say goodbye, It's wonderful to have such positive people in the world. Keep up the good work.

    And now I will say that was awesome. Saying goodbye shouldn't be a sad thing and I'm maybe thinking this poem doesn't belong in the sad category.

    You show saying good bye as not being a bad thing. I like that.
