Moving On

by SpillCanvas   May 1, 2005

Confusion as we all just keep on aging.
Sadness as our teenage lives get left behind.
Anger because our world just won't stop changing.
Hope because who knows what we may find.
Fear because we know we leave forever.
Frustration 'cause we can't cling to the past.
Calm because our bonds will be crushed never.
Apprehensive because it all is ending so fast.
It seems like yesterday we were just children.
Playing make-believe, make-pretend.
We use to pretend that we were all so smart and old.
Taking stabs at what is was,
We thought our futures hold.
Now we're old and make-believe is not so fake.
Our childhood games of make-pretend are just so real.
I've waited for this moment since I was a child.
But now I'm not quite sure as to how I feel.
