Drink...

I love to feel it as it slides down my throat
That taste that burns and a feeling stings
Drink away your troubles tonight with me
Wait ‘til morning to see what this brings

Dizziness and darkness, I’m so far gone
Made wrong turns, as the liquor slid down
Hoping that this time I can end how I feel
In my emotions it only helps me to drown

A taste like this leaves me longing for more
As I slip downstairs for just one more taste
I smile, through the darkness with an evil leer
One more sip, I only have my life to waste

So tired and lonely, drowning in tears
So this time I gave in to the bottle again
The taste left me faint, but there’s no change
Drink, just another way to escape the pain

    great poem 5/5, just i think kind of differently because i know people who have done this before my eyes, it doesn't fix problems, it just made them bigger, but you may think different and thats ok, i don't mean to offend you.
