Vanishing

Dizzy, falling through the sky
Couldn’t fall this far, even if I tried
Drifting through my consciousness
Life is left torn up in my distress

Slowly grasping tight on to you
Wonder if this all is actually true
Tripping and stumbling in the fire
Mind left twisted from my desire

Bleeding but not in blood this time
Still it pours from that heart of mine
Guilt and hatred fall to the floor
Hearts are broken just once more

Can’t control the speed at which I fall
Above my head the trees run tall
Faces crowd above my aching skull
But each one’s eyes have turned so dull

Life is fading completely out of my site
Falling deep into the blackest nights
Where fiends are all that block my path
In a place my sanity will struggle to last

Losing all power over my mind
The bright light is so hard to find
All hopes are falling from my grasp
My one last breath of air I gasp

My minding is flipping upside down
In my dark world I am allowed to drown
Maybe this will be my last and final day
Before I slowly and quietly vanish away…
