A Tragic Suicide

by sHaTtErEdMiStAkE   May 6, 2005

Nothing could have explained
What was going through his head
Never would they know
That he'd rather be dead.
Dressed in black
From head to toe
Nobody else was like him
Their comments only made him feel low.
Because he was different
His peers screamed and yelled
That day he decided
His life was living hell.
Nothing could have prepared his family
For what he secretly knew he had to do
Nobody in this world
Could have guessed what he'd been through.
That night he cam home
The only knife he could find was dull
"Finally I'll be dead." he thought
Then God can have my soul.
The next morning he awoke
And realized he was still alive
His clothes stained with blood
He said " At least I can say i tried."
Then the next morning
When the clock had just struck four
He quietly went down to the basement
And behind him slowly closed the door.
He took a rope
And threw it up over the rafter
Hoping this time he'd die
He could only think about their laughter
Then he stepped off the chair
Knowing only death would find him after.
If only someone had noticed
That his life was filled with pain
Maybe his life would've lasted
And everyone wouldn't look down on him with shame.
Nobody would've guessed
That he was the type who wanted to die
Never would they guess why he said "everything is fine."
When he knew it was a lie.
No one seemed to understand
How much pain he was in
But no one ever asked
So his death succeeded in sin.
Before he went to bed
He told his parents goodnight
They never questioned
That they'd never again hold him tight.
That cold winter morning
He silently said goodbye
Never could he imagine
How many people loved him and didn't want him to die.
