You slowly pull me back down.
Nothing i say can release your grip,
Nothing can erase this frown.

You said i was "make believe",
Just a girl you dreamed awake,

So doesn't that make you the fake?

I wish that i could forget the lies,
And the words i said in hate,

I can't accept your "I love yous",
Those words meant nothing at all,
She is who you reach to save,

Her hand is the one you're holding,
Her pictures the one in your head,
So stop pretending i mean something,

Take your empty promises,
And the sympathy rose on the floor,
