You are everything, to me.

by Nat the dreamer   May 18, 2005

I'm nothing more than a line in your book.
Nothing more than a shadow on your wall.
Nothing more than a petal on your bouquet.
To you, I'm not anything at all.

I'm nothing more than a grey crayon in your box.
Nothing more than a tissue in your bin.
Nothing more than a fly on your food.
To you, me and you wont even begin.

You are everything like the sun in my sky.
Everything like the heart that I hold.
Everything like the secret I keep.
To me, you're I wish I haven't told.

You are everything like the chorus in my song.
Everything like the waves in my sea.
Everything like the swings in my playground.
You are everything, to me.

I love this poem. I'm not sure if they're called analogies, similies, or metaphores, but I loved them. They seemed really thought out and expressive. I especially liked: "You are everything like the chorus in my song."
    Great poem!
