Superficial costume

Superficial costume

Stepping in to my fake costume,
Once again.
Paint a smile on my face,
Trying to hide the darkness of me.

Tears im befriending,
This life im betrading,
My life is closed under,
My superficial costume.

Red turns to black,
Happiness turns to sadness,
Tears turning into ice,
As I reminisce you.

This is all so new,
But my soul can’t stop,
Grieving over a love,
That has never formed.

Inside this costume,
Lays a body,
Covered in scars,
Poring out a heart.

Wishing he would notice,
Her for one moment,
And get inside,
This superficial costume.
