Crimson Regret

by sHaTtErEdMiStAkE   May 26, 2005

She lies on her bed
After swallowing a bottle of pills
She waits for the feeling of death
Until her lonely self she kills.
She waits and waits
But the feeling does not come
I’m afraid she can’t wait anymore
She wants her soul to be done.
Her tears stain the floor
As she goes to find her blade
But what she doesn't realize
That with her life she’s got it made.
She’s got a family who cares
And who will be there all the way
But they could never understand
Why she wants to kill herself today.
And she has many friends
Who all love her to death
Who will love her even after she dies
And takes her final last breath.
All these wonderful things
She’s failed to realize
So she cuts her body repeatedly
To live, she no longer tries.
But as she feels that feeling of death
There’s nothing to expect
But the blood flowing freely
To her own crimson regret.
