Look Around

I look to the mysterious moonlight night.
I will leave this place without a fight.
I look upon a incandescent star.
I will take the path, murky and far.

I look to the benign sun.
Why is it that I must run?
I look to the tantalizing sky.
Why is it that I must cry?

Trapped inside these walls.
Tossed around like rage dolls.
I look into the black.
What is it that I lack?

The things I wish I could be...
Things I keep inside of me...
The things I wish I could be...
Will end up killing me.
