Death?

You'd think one would dread
The thought of being dead
What exactly is it about death that people fear?
Is it one big blur?
Or a brand new life?
Still full of hate and strife...
Wouldn't it be nice
To live a life without great sacrifice
A life so easy and pain free...
To be one with fire, wind and sea
To live like a bird so very high
That's the ideal, painless way to die
But the world is such a cruel place to be
It will never be so easy and pain free
We will live in fear...to the very end
