Swearing Against Hope

by Absinth Eyes   Jun 2, 2005

When I fell in love
You broke my heart
When I needed you
You opted out

When my heart bled
You turned away
And when I died
You forgot about me

I thought of you on that cold night
As I forced the blade to skin
The tears drown out any fright
And I forced the pain from within

I loved you more then you ever knew
I loved you and it felt so true
You didn't care if I did die
So what if it's myself that I sacrifice?

I swore it'd happen never again
I swore I'd change my ways
If not but just to save myself
To make up some happy days

But it didn't work and I fell down
I lost you and I lost myself
So watch me as I slowly drown
And heave my body on the shelf

You'll watch as they draw the sheet
Over my cold pale skin
And it won't mean a thing to you
That I can feel love never again

~~Edited it big time... also changed the title.~~
